Wonder What You’re Doing for the Rest of Your Life

Happy Saturday, everyone!

I’m currently sitting in a Caffe Nero, where I am enjoying a Banana Caramel Frappe, and a Sticky Toffee muffin, because I know how to do breakfast the right way.

I can’t say that I have much to report about my first FULL week of teaching at my new school (since last week was inset for three days, and there were no students in), but that’s probably because I’m trying to block it out of my memory because it was so stressful that on at least one occasion I found myself alone in the science equipment room, crying like a baby.

I will say that I have had a really fun time preparing my science lessons (I’m sure Rob is proud) and on the occasions when I actually get to teach my lessons (because the students are feeling ambitious that day) I really enjoy teaching it too!

I do have some students who are really good at science and really do enjoy learning it, so that is awesome!

So on to other things…

I leave for Canada in 13 days (for those of you keeping track)! I am really excited (except for the long flights all by myself… I’ll have to bring books and other forms of entertainment… and a pillow). I fly into Edmonton which was kind of a last minute decision but actually turned out to be perfect because my dad works just north of Edmonton and can pick me up on his way home for the week, and then I fly out of Edmonton so he can drop me off on his way back to work… plus, we live in Didsbury, not Calgary, so it’s actually pretty much just as convenient! Also… it was way cheaper!

I have lots of exciting things planned while I am home, the most exciting, of course, being Caitrin’s wedding! Rob and I appear to be making a habit out of going to Canada, attending a wedding, and then flying back to Europe the next day… but I’m fine with that! I wonder whose wedding we will go to next (in Canada)…

ANY who… I will be sure to keep you all up to date if anything exciting happens, but I have a feeling that next week’s blog will be a list.

Stay tuned…
